Treatment of dynamic wrinkles using Botulinum Toxin injections

Wrinkles between the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, crow's feet, cheek wrinkles, marionette lines.

ERASE THE TRACES OF TIME, ACHIEVE SMOOTHER SKIN AND REVEAL YOUR BEAUTY.

Over the years, repetitive muscle contractions increase facial tension and cause what are known as expression lines. When your face is tired, anxious, tense, when wrinkles appear, botulinum toxin injections breathe new life into your face, creating a brighter, younger look by removing this tension. Botulinum toxin is a natural product that is injected into the muscle to reduce hypertonicity, which is responsible for expression lines (frown lines, forehead wrinkles, crow's feet, cheek wrinkles and marionette lines). The muscle groups are relaxed to maintain a natural expression and appearance. The face is not set or frozen, as we too often hear, but simply relaxed, by reducing the excessive tone in certain muscles.

Excessive treatments or injections performed by amateurs lead to frozen, featureless expressions. When the results are natural, the injected areas become smoother and more relaxed. The goal is to relax the face while retaining enough muscle mobility to express your personality rather than freeze your features.

Above and beyond treating wrinkles, Botox offers patients the possibility of a perfectly smooth forehead and more radiant eyes. The advantage of treatment with botulinum toxin is that it is tailored to suit your individual needs.

This is a treatment that we will adapt once we have ascertained all your expectations.

Botulinum toxin is produced from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This bacterium blocks nerve conduction to prevent the contraction of muscles controlled by these nerves. It is a muscle relaxant. Botulinum toxin has been used in medicine for decades to correct neuromuscular problems in children and adults: strabismus, dystonia and spasm disorders, stiff neck, teeth grinding, muscle spasms in neurodegenerative diseases, urinary incontinence and excessive underarm perspiration.

What should I expect from my first session?

During a prior consultation, I will examine your face when it is relaxed and in motion so that we can decide together which muscles to relax. We will ascertain your goals and what results you can expect from the treatment. You will also be told about the contraindications of botulinum toxin.

You will be offered a treatment plan and a quote.

During your session, after disinfecting your skin, the product will be injected a few millimetres into the muscle with a very fine needle. The session lasts about 15 minutes.

Is it painful?

For most patients the injections are virtually painless and the area is simply tender for a very short time.

And after treatment?

The side effects of treatment are minimal. They are generally limited to some redness that disappears within minutes of the injection. In rare cases there is slight bruising that disappears quickly and does not require any downtime.

You may feel some muscle tension in the injected areas, but only for a very short time. The injection requires a high level of precision so it is very important not to massage the injected area and to avoid any exertion on the day of treatment to prevent the product from spreading outside the injection site.

How long will the results last?

The results will start to show within a few days and progress over the next three weeks. The effect will be visible for 5-8 months depending on your initial muscle contraction. But experience shows that over the years the treatment lasts for longer and the injections can be spaced further apart. The purpose of this treatment method is to achieve natural results so that your face appears more relaxed, rested and smoother.

For deeper wrinkles, such as frown lines, Botox relieves that worried, negative expression but the lines on the skin may still be visible. In this case we inject a filler containing hyaluronic acid for even better results. This injection is performed 3 weeks to 2 months after the Botox injection.

What contraindications are there?

You should not have Botox injections if you have certain neuromuscular diseases, if you are taking aminoglycosides, if you are allergic to botulinum toxin, have an infection in the area treated or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How much does treatment cost?
